I took my first ever yoga class with Julie three years ago on a whim and instantly wondered where this practice, and specifically Julie's unique approach to it, has been all my life. She makes the connection between mind and body, on the mat and off, in a way that is accessible, often laugh out loud funny and resonates with me on a daily basis. Given the endless demands and expectations that swirl around us at all times, it is both liberating and deeply moving when Julie takes the time to remind us that we are exactly where we need to be. It is with her expert guidance and support that I have learned to truly be in the moment. She has helped me to focus on the little details of my practice, such as the position of my ankle, in a way that miraculously transcends the virtual format and has made me stronger both physically and mentally. This inward focus has become an invaluable tool for me at home and especially at work. I am now able to approach challenges with a sense of curiosity and inner strength, rather than immediately responding with stress and panic.
